Dinosaur Habitat

When I was pregnant with Evie I painted this mural for a family in our neighborhood.  They won it at the school carnival where I had offered a mural for the silent auction.

I love the T-rex coming OUT of the mural towards the bed!

I made the smoke detector coming out of a knot hole.

This dino was modeled after Liam's favorite toy at the time, "Morris the Stegosaurus"

Ohio State

Giant Ohio State logo in a little boy's bedroom.

And of course Brutus Buckeye.

Not sure if it was the little boy or the mom and dad who liked Ohio so much.  hmmm.

Sports Room

This was a neat way to incorporate a boy's interests into a mural.

I put images from different sports he liked into the letters of his name.

Then the customer wanted a foot kicking a goal on the other wall.

And a bat with his name on it leaning against the closet.

Outer Space Room

This is actually the second space room I had done.  I LOVE this room.

Planets on a swirly night sky.

Glow in the dark speckles are flecked over the whole surface (really cool in the dark.)

The larger stars and the comet are glow in the dark as well.

I love that the other 3 walls were khaki.  It looked really sharp.

Clouds and Jet Planes

This was basement playroom for two young boys.

They wanted clouds and jet planes.  We cut these planes out of a wall paper boarder.

I involved the boys in making clouds in the shape of their initials.

Their dad hung board with bulldog clips for their artwork near each of their letters.  I painted right over them.

So proud of their clouds.

This wall was already painted with magnetic paint.  So we mounted several wallpaper planes on cardboard, laminated them and attached magnets to the back.

The boys loved to fly them around the wall.  (The planes with cloud trails were stationary.)

They also had magnetic letters.

Airplanes and Rockets

This was the first mural I did for my own kids, believe it or not.

It was a room in our new house my youngest two boys shared.

What fun!  I loved this room.

Super Hero Room

This room was shared by 2 boys.

When I painted these characters originally the room was white. Later the mom went back and painted the room orange and brown, creating squares for the super heros.

Airplane Sky

These airplanes are cut from the leftover wallpaper border, not painted.  But they could be.

Carousel Horses Room

This was a room for a little girl.

6 carousel horses danced around her room.

Homeowner chose to have mural go right over air return vent near ceiling.

Mackenzie loved her big girl room!
