Bugs & Flowers Border

Forgot that I never took photos of this room I painted accents in for my friend Lesley... 4 years ago!!!

Good example of accent painting.  Murals don't have to be all encompassing.

This photo is missing the green stitch marks above and below the border.

Art matched their bedding for baby Addison.

Lesley helped with the stitch marks along the edges!

Birds and Flowers

I did this mural for my niece in Minnesota.  She has a very long and narrow room with very slanty walls on both sides.  I painted flowers and birds to match her bedspread in the corners and by the doors on the vertical walls.  Flowers scattered across the slanted ceiling as well.  It turned out pretty cute.  When they get the curtains done I'll try to post a full room view pic!

Elegant Nursery

This simple nursery had grayish-lavender walls.   I painted a picket fence with curly vines on opposite sides of the room, and a topiary and a growth chart on either side of the window.

Sweet and Sophisticated Floral

I believe this pattern was taken from her quilt.  It ran all the way around the room.

Butterfly Garden

The whimsical trails of these butterflies bring joy to this little girl's room.

Border of Flowers & Swirls

This fun pattern continued across 2 walls.

Then around the top of the window.   And a few accents above the crib.

Sweet Lavender

Simple accents made this lavender room for a baby girl complete.

Flower Garden

This bright room I painted for two little girls.  Their dad put up actual wooden fence around the entire room.

The room had a low and sloping ceiling so I painted the sky on all of it.

Sadly this house burnt down and I came back several years later and painted each girl a special mural in their new rooms.  here and here.

Pretty Pony Room

These sweet girls wanted a cartoon pony room, but NOT "My Little Ponies"!  They were adamant.

I love to include the kids in painting their own room whenever possible.
They love that sense of ownership.

I chose some unexpected shades / colors for a fun, girly effect.

Flower and butterfly accents.
